Product Engineering Intern

Brief Summary

During my internship, I learned and applied SOLIDWORKS Composer to develop automated work instructions in collaboration with a science and technical report writer. Using Adobe Premiere and SOLIDWORKS Composer, I created a structured, visual guide to standardize assembly procedures, ensuring clarity and repeatability. This first iteration serves as a foundation for future refinements before full integration into the company’s training program.

Business/Organization Outcome

By combining technical documentation, 3D visualization, and video editing, this project enhances workforce training efficiency and streamlines knowledge transfer. The structured work instructions improve consistency in assembly processes, reducing errors and increasing operational efficiency. This initiative lays the groundwork for automated and standardized training, allowing new employees to onboard more quickly with clear, repeatable guidelines.

Personal Outcome

Through this experience, I gained hands-on expertise in digital manufacturing documentation, improved my ability to translate complex processes into clear instructional materials, and deepened my understanding of how automation can optimize training programs. This project strengthened my skills in technical communication, CAD visualization, and multimedia integration.
